Amplifiers

Finally after building pedals for over two years we are just about to build our first amp head prototype, we've been working on the schematic for quite some time and I think it´s quite obvious that we don't want to build a clone and then BOOM done. No, this amp needs to be something different than a straight up clone, so we tweaked the schematic a little and ended up with something that I know have been done before but maybe not in Sweden when it comes to a brand new fresh from the bench amp. We have sourced all the parts for this prototype-build and we have all the parts and/or they are ordered.

This amp we decided to build right now is a high quality amp head but also it have to be affordable, there is several things to take in consideration, one is that the parts need to be easy accessible, two is the parts needs to be at least mid range priced, three is that the parts needs to be high quality, since we are in the EU the parts for our amps needs to be accessible in Sweden or within the EU. We succeeded with all those three things.

The first thoughts about this amp-build was that it has to be point to point and no PCB´s, there is one exception though, FX loop, it can actually be a PCB for simplicity and we accept that. Also the idea of this amp is that it has to be all hand built, even the cabinet is being built by hand out of Birch plywood, we glue the tolex and do everything by hand on this amp, very time consuming but just the way we want it to be.

What I am talking about is that the finished product will be a high gain small amp head with characteristics from our Distortion pedal but also that classic British hot-rodded sound that several other brands trying to achieve. the best thing is, our Distortion pedal can be used both as a distortion pedal and boost pedal, our Dual Distortion pedal would even work as a Metal pedal and Crunsh pedal since the Dual Distortion has two independent channels. Also this amp-head needs to be suitable for both home use, rehearsal and live gigs. This means, we are not building a 5 watt amp.

To end this story I would want to say that we are aiming to have this amp-prototype done at the latest in the end of July 2024 and hopefully it will be possible for you to make an order during August 2024. More information will come soon.

Thank you
